BLI SUMMER JAM 2014
June 11, 2014I had the chance to photograph an awesome radio show last week (thanks again Catherine!) and if you know me - you know I love pop music. The BLI Summer Jam radio show was at Jones Beach so I got my first taste of Long Island as well.
It was a beautiful day for some live music with 14 different artists so you can imagine that it was quite a long day.
I don’t know much about Midnight Red except for the fact that I saw them in the airport one time and correctly guessed that it was them (we ate burrito bowls next to each other).
I had never heard of New Hollow before Sunday but people seemed to know the words to at least one of their songs so that’s good!
Karmin absolutely killed their set - they barely stopped moving the entire time! I really enjoyed photographing them and it’s my goal to have as much swag as Amy.
Right off the bat I liked AJR because those are my brother’s initials.
MKTO this one’s for you
Cash Cash didn’t play “Party In Your Bedroom” so I was sad.
But then Emblem3 came on so the vibes got better.
A Great Big World wore funny pants.
R5 - had never really heard of them before but pretty cute and catchy.
Fifth Harmony harmonized.
Cody Simpson - the boy can move. #surfboard
Austin Mahone aka Brittney’s boo.
Last but not least, Jason Derulo. I forgot how many hits he’s had! Killer.
